I am enjoying being aboard Freedom of the Seas, but in quiet times, I have to have my knitting needles or a crochet hook in my hands!
My blogging friend, Debbie of Happy Days, and a few others have asked what I am working on now, so here are a few pictures.
Above is the beginning of a sweater inspired by the Cat in the Hat in his movie. He wears a patchwork sweater in the movie that my grand kids liked so I designed my own for the youngest grand children and other relatives - six of them. The one I am making now will go into my Etsy shop when I get home.
Above is grandson Alex wearing the patchwork sweater I made for him. He and Grandpa are building a viking ship together. ;)
I'm also making another baby blanket for the shop. I'll add these items when we get home, too.
Already added to the shop is a pattern for this sweater, skirt, hat, and scarf set. This is a sweater made in panels of front, back, sleeves, then sewn together. I'll also soon be adding a pattern for a sweater knit on one piece with seams only at the shoulders. In addition to patterns for those who knit and crochet, I already have finished outfits available for 18" and 11.5" dolls in the shop.
While we are out of town I'll make a sweater for my daughter Catherine, too, who is kindly taking care of shipping merchandise from the shop until I get home.
So, thank you, Debbie, for asking. I can never sit quietly without having a project in my hands. ;)
Very best,
Lois

That sweater is so darling...I need to pick up the needles again, I've been too busy working in the yard lately.
