Needlework and Wood Working Update - May, 2017

Good morning,

Time flies when you're retired.  We are loving every minute of retirement while also working to create items for our on line shop, EvensensProductions.com.  So, I guess we aren't really retired, we are now self employed and are enjoying it tremendously.  :)

The item above is still in the test phase.  It's a fruit bird feeder that My Honey made in his wood workshop.  We have been testing different areas of our garden to find where the birds can enjoy it and My Honey can take pictures of them.  After further development, we expect to feature these in our shop.

The sweater of the month is Bright Sky Blue.  It is a unisex sweater that fits 34"-38" chest sizes.  Click the image for more information.
A few weeks ago we sold out of these hand crochet Find It Keep It Baskets.  They can sit on a table or hang from your door knob where you can find your keys, phone, or other important items.  There is a "button hole" in the top rim that will fit on your door knob (see images with listings in the shop).  That "button hole" lays flat in the top rim when the basket is sitting on a table.

These are also great for wrapped candies or cough drops, baby items, or whatever you want to keep where you can find it.
You can find these listed in the Home Living & Entertaining Section of our shop.

We have two new colors of yarn this month!  Above is a gorgeous Purple, Magenta, and Blue...
...and these shades of Purple and Pink are just gorgeous, too.

I am taking orders for other items to be made from this yarn.  Both of these new colors are perfect for sweaters, hats, and caps or other items.  Let me know if you'd like something made especially for you.
Six sets of this color Luggage ID tags were sold this month so here's another in the shop to restock.
We were totally sold out of these so I've made more in different colors to restock.
It's travel season so order yours today!  They also make fantastic little gifts for friends and family who will be traveling.  They are also appreciated by cabin stewards and others you may meet on board cruise ships.
And, if you are a travel agent, contact me about having us make them in your choice of color and attaching your business (that you provide) for you to give to your customers.
These Luggage Identifiers are $5 for a set of 6 and are also available in the Home Living & Entertaining Section of our shop.
So many pretty colors!

And, finally, I made more cloche hats/chemo caps to restock the shop.

These caps are great bad hair day, dreaming, reading, sleeping, whenever you want to wear them hats!  ;)
These are popular with teens, too, as stylish cap.
We have more than 60 of these available in the Cloche Hats & Chemo Caps Section. $8 to $12 each.

That's it for the this month.  We're hard at work making more items for next month and are happy to take custom orders for what you'd like to have us make for you.

All the best,
Lois

Needlework and Woodworking Update - April, 2017

Good morning,

Happy April!

We only have one wood item this month for this Needlework and Woodworking Update.

The box above has already been sold, but there are more in production for the shop.  This beautiful small hand crafted wood box is a lovely way to present an engagement ring, wedding jewelry, anniversary jewelry, or even wrapped chocolate candy.  My Honey made one for me for our anniversary last month and it was loaded with chocolate.  Yum!
This month I made two lap or baby blankets to restock the shop.
These are beautiful for Spring or any time of the year.  Fold it corner to corner and it becomes a warm shawl.
This "hairy" character is a broom or toilet brush handle cover.
These are not only a darling addition to your decor, but they protect walls from marks made by broom handles.
One white and pink turtle hatched this year - just in time to be included in an Easter basket.
It was restocking time for cloche hats/chemo caps, too.
I made some to restock colors that have just been sold...
...and put an emphasis on colors that are pretty for Spring and Summer.

Finally, I restocked the shop with two more sets of Luggage Identifiers.
These are great to tuck into a bon voyage card or use as place markers for a bon voyage or retirement party.  The recipient will find they are extremely useful when in the cruise or airport terminal looking for luggage.

So, that's it for this month.  Thanks so much for your encouragement for our little shop.  When shopping for yourself and for gifts, we hope you'll stop by EvensensProductions.com to see what we have available.  We sincerely appreciate your business.

All the best,
Lois

Needlework Update - July, 2016

Good morning,

The days go by so very quickly and suddenly a month has passed and it's time for another Needlework Update.

I have finished two sweaters this time, both for children and both with special designs.  Above is a Toy Shelf sweater that is just loaded with decorative toy buttons.  How fun!
This aqua sweater features a truck that is also a pocket. Both of these sweaters are in child size 4 to 5 and are available in our shop.
This lavender pink lap or baby blanket is also in the shop.
I made two of these aqua and cream baby blankets...
with matching turtle toys.  One was a custom order, the other is in the shop.
  These two ladies and...
...this fellow were also custom orders.
Of course, a turtle hatched this month and...
...this happy little star also appeared.
These are brightly colored luggage identifiers that are so very handy to find your luggage in an airport or cruise terminal.  They make a great bon voyage gift or door prize.
I developed this newsboy cap design this month, too.  It's a ribbed crochet that you can form to wear however you wish for comfort and style.  It also can be used as a chemo cap.
It was time to restock the shop for more cloche/chemo caps, too.
This is a special order hat for, yep, Henry!
Charlie is Henry's brother and wanted a hat, too!
I had so much fun making those that I made this one and...
...this one for the shop.  If you're not Bob or Cathy, you can order a hat with your name or initials (up to eight letters) in any color you wish by writing to me to place your order.
I made a number of hats in a variety of sizes for the shop.

This "big hair" hat is in the shop, too.
Pin cushions!  I made a few more to restock the shop.
This one should be easy to find in your sewing room!
I also made a few more toilet tissue toppers to restock the shop for those that were recently sold.

And, finally, another set of mug rugs/snack mats.

Wow, it was a busy month again!

Thanks for getting this far in this long post.  If you'd like to go take a look, I've got a coupon for you to use in our shop:
