Needlework and Wood Working Update - August, 2025

 Good morning,

It's time for another Needlework and Wood Working Update where we gather images of all items completed since the last update.

Above is a gorgeous Afghan Blanket in shades of turquoise, black, and white.  The stunning design pattern creates a warm fabric that can be used as a blanket, or folded corner to corner to create a super warm shawl.  What a lovely gift for yourself or someone special.  $170.  This generous size lap blanket in red, white, and green is a gift that will be used by all ages year round. What a lovely gift for the Christmas baby or someone in hospice care. $55. More images and information here.

This one is something new!  These are gemstone color flowers on creamy white, bordered with an amethyst scalloped border.  Just gorgeous!  $185.  More close up images and information here. 

This full size afghan blanket was a custom order that has been delivered.  This stitch produces a medium weight fabric that is comfortable in all seasons.

Welcome to this month's Needlework and Wood Working Update!  This is where we collect images of all items completed since the last update.

 This Lap Blanket is extra long that will easily cover from lap to toes.  It's a lovely blanket for baby or to brighten a hospital room.  The colors and design remind me of childhood summers spent watching soft, pretty yellow and black caterpillars.  Those days were so much more simple without computers and cell phones.  $60.  Only one available.  More information and images here.

 This simple cloche hat will keep your ears warm;  or, you can fold up the brim.  This hat can also be used as a chemo cap.  This hat is made from the same dye lot yarn as the Honey Gold Scarf above.  More images and information about the hat here.  $10.  Only one available.

Needlework and Wood Working Update - April, 2025

 Good morning,

Welcome to this month's Needlework and Wood Working Update where we publish images of what we've completed since the last Update.  

Above is a clock that Kjell made of both wood and plastic.  The face of the clock is wood and the moving parts are designed by Kjell and made of plastic with his 3D printer.  The reason for the plastic is that it is not affected by heat and moisture, so the clock can be more accurate.  Sorry, this one isn't in the shop.  We're keeping this one.  ;) 

 This New Large Afghan Blanket is in the shop.  The Orange flowers on Brown is beautiful for a man or a woman.  Only one available $185 and ready to ship to your USA address.  More images and information here.

 This is a light weight, lacy lap blanket that is also a very comfy shawl when folded corner to corner.  It also makes a light and airy cover-up for breastfeeding.  This would be a lovely gift for a new mother.  $50.  More images and information here.

Needlework and Wood Working Update - March, 2025

 Good morning,

 Welcome to this month's Needlework and Wood Working Update.  I'm back to shades of blue and green to start the month.  I love these calming colors.  The New Large Afghan Blanket above is a great size for your couch, chair, recliner, or bed.  $185.  Only one available.  More images and information here.

Kjell has been marking time in his workshop and man cave!  He's been making beautiful clocks that are so much fun to watch as they tick away the seconds and minutes.  This one will stay in his man cave (our recreation room).  Very cool, Honey!

Needlework and Wood Working Update

 Good morning,

This is the collection of what we've finished since the last update.  We've been busy recently so haven't finished so many things this time, but have more things in the works that you'll see next time.

Above is a large afghan blanket of pink flowers bordered in red.  It will be a beautiful Valentine gift and will be lovely to display throughout the year.  More information and images here.  $185.  Only one available. 

 This generous size lap blanket is in green and white for your favorite leprechaun or for anyone who goes to a school whose colors are green and white.  :)  More images and information here.  $65.  Only one available.

This Cloche Hat is new in the shop this month.  These are lovely to wear under a hoodie or to bed in very cold weather.  It's a great helmet liner and may also be used as a chemo cap.  Only $8.  This one is here.

 Kjell made a new sign for our gate across our driveway.  The circle in the middle is for a camera.  We can see who is approaching even before they get to the gate.

Needlework and Wood Working Update - December, 2024

 Good morning,

This has been the month for making afghan blankets!  They are certainly welcome on these cold days.

Above is a black, white, and gray Bavarian stitch afghan blanket that will be beautiful on your bed, couch, or recliner.  There are many more pictures and information here.  $170.  Only one available and it's ready to ship..

 This is the fifth Northern Lights afghan blanket ordered by a lovely lady who enjoyed watching the Northern Lights with her family recently.  For Christmas she is giving several of them these blankets as a beautiful memory.  The one pictured is a large size for her son.

 What a beautiful blend of browns!  This large Beautiful Browns Afghan Blanket will be welcomed by a man or a woman.  $185.  More information and images are here.

 This blanket is a lovely gift for all ages.  It can be used as a lap, baby blanket, or can be folded corner to corner for form a warm shawl.  For my mother, I made similar blankets that she used when in her wheelchair and recliner.  $75.  Only one available here.

 

Kjell has been working with his new Flash Forge.  This is a test picture stand that he designed and made on his new machine.  He'll keep this one, but plans to make more for the shop. He's working on that now.

 Kjell also made a bust of his friend, Albert.  Albert will have a permanent home overlooking Kjell's work area.
