Happy Mother's Day!
We are once again aboard Freedom of the Seas, sailing out of Port Canaveral, Florida. It's such a great place to be to celebrate Mother's Day or any day at all!
Freedom has just undergone a few changes while in dry dock in March. This cupcake store has replaced the barber shop on the Royal Promenade. Yum!
Items designed by the artist Britto are available just across the promenade from the cupcake store.
This store replaced the Book Nook, next to the Cafe Promenade.
Up on the pool deck a huge flat screen has been erected.
And, around the ship there are now touch screens to help you find your way.
Also new on Freedom is Dreamworks and characters from the Dreamworks Productions. I'll surely find some pictures of Shrek one of these days to share with you. ;)
Best,
Lois

The cupcake shop is so very appealing...
Happy Mother's Day, too!
How I would love to be boarding a beautiful cruise ship on Mother's Day. I love the cupcake shop idea!
Hi Lois, Love the cupcake shop. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today we have been gardening, but then it got too hot so we too have been sitting enjoying the sun. Hubby is away to finish off the garden now and I aaam going to make our evenoing meal and maybe a cake!
Have fun.

Lois, Happy Mother's Day!
Every time you show the shops onboard, I have to remind myself that you are not mall walking, but shop shopping - the variety and choices are amazing. Where are you sailing and how long is this trip?
Thanks Lois for the updates on FOS. We will be on her in September.

I wish you a nice trip on the ship.

Wow, a cupcake shop. I'd be visiting that pretty often! lol. That touch screen option is pretty nice. I'm always lost.
Looks like they made some good additions. The touchscreens should be very useful--I think it would be very easy to get lost on that big ship!
Happy Mother's Day to you, too, Lois.
Wow, cruise ships have certainly changed in the 20 years since the one time we took one. Very interesting pics.
Love the idea of the touchscreen to help lost people find their way. Hmmm. The cupcake shop might be a tad too tempting. lol
