Bread Day

 Good morning,

About three times a week I make bread.  Above is how the dough looks after the first rise in the oven with just the oven light turned on for a little heat.  I make bread in batches for two loaves at a time.

I use what I find available when I make bread.  This batch is brown sugar and sour cream so is very rich and soft.

Oh, this is good!

Enjoy,

Lois

Lois, this bread looks so good and I liked reading that you used brown sugar and sour cream as I have both. Can you share the recipe, please? If so, can you please email to the address on my blog. Thank you.

Hi Beatrice,

Thanks for writing! It's always good to hear from you.

I don't use written recipes as you may know. I stand over the mixture and add things I have on hand until it looks right. I'll have to write this one down and publish it on my blog. I'll give you a heads up when I do.

I have dozens of my bread recipes on line. This search will bring them up: https://loishands.blogspot.com/search?q=bread+recipe

In the meantime, and while your cottage cheese is still fresh: With any of my recipes, just change the milk-based item to ¼ cup cottage cheese. Change whatever sweetener I use to 2 heaping T of brown sugar. That's all there is to it.
