Happy Birthday, USA!
Home of the Free Because of the Brave
Last week we celebrated Father's Day on Thursday rather than Sunday. We have found it to be much more relaxing to avoid the actual holiday when we eat out to celebrate. It was fun that our friend Erica was able to join us, too
One of our favorite restaurants is Tokyo where the sushi and everything else is delicious.
So, Happy Father's Day again, Kjell!
Love you,
Lois and Catherine

...our son, Les, father of our two beautiful grandchildren...

...and my wonderful Father (rip) who I miss every day.
Love to all,
Lois
Flag Day - United States of America
Image taken from car (passenger seat) on the way to Florida in 2024.
I took this picture of the moon while out with the pups late one evening.
The flag, the moon, and the still of the night remind me of how grateful I am for all those who have kept our country free. Some of those people were my relatives and friends.
We are the Land of the Free Because of the Brave.
All the very best,
Lois
Happy Norway Constitution Day
to our Norwegian Family and Friends Worldwide!
All the very best,
Lois
These roses are so pretty that I had to get a picture to share. These are from My Honey for Valentine's Day.
The roses are real, but they appear to be made of velvet.
So pretty!
Thank you, Sweetie!
Love you,
Lois
(Special thanks to Kjell's not-so secret shopper, Catherine.)
Happy Valentine's Day
from all of us in the Evensen Household
Kjell, Catherine, Wendy, Elsa (pictured), Lily, and Me!
We have quite a few scheduling conflicts around the holidays so we enjoyed Christmas in January with son Don and family. Catherine made all the arrangements and Don took all of us to dinner at our favorite Tokyo Restaurant.
We enjoyed the hibachi this time and I grabbed a couple of images of the chef preparing our food.
Ah, yes, we enjoyed the whole show of the flames during the preparation.Thank you, Don, this was a fantastic evening! The company and the food were fabulous! Thanks, Catherine, for making all the arrangements.
Love you all!
Mom
This week has been a busy one with appointments, travel, dog shows, and, of course, Santa's arrival.
Catherine made a simple dinner for us that was just fabulous! Of course, Christmas ham...
...real mashed potatoes... ...and a spinach salad. And, here's the chef herself!Thank you, Catherine!
Love you,
Mom & Dad
Catherine sent us images of live entertainment at a shopping center in Honolulu.
It certainly doesn't look like Christmas in the Midwest, does it!
How pretty!Thanks for sharing, Catherine.
All the best,
Lois
Lily had a wonderful time opening her present from Santa!
She didn't need to be told how to do it!So sweet!
I hope your Christmas was wonderful!
Lois
I love this Christmas display with the tropics of Hawaii in the background!
So pretty!
Enjoy,
Lois
I just love seeing all of the beautiful trees at the hotel where Catherine and Erica are staying in Honolulu this week! So pretty!
All the best,
Lois
Each year Catherine makes gift baskets for business clients of her CPA firm. She buys all the ingredients, puts them all together and my job is to make and add the bow. This is the first test basket containing fruit, nuts, and chocolate. She has another winner this year!
Catherine set up a table in the middle of our entrance hall so we have more space to work. Before we are finished, we will have baskets covering the dining room table and every other flat area on the first floor of the house.
Ah, yes, it's Christmas time again! I hope your preparations are going well.
All the best,
Lois
