Evening in Dandridge, Tennessee

Good morning,

We stayed the night at the Hampton Inn in Dandridge, Tennessee.  It was our first time at this particular Hampton and it was quite nice.  I picked it because of its location and division of driving hours between Port Canaveral and home.
After settling into our room, we went outside and took some pictures as the sun was going down.  I love the way the sun is shining on and through the flag at the Perkins Restaurant just down the hill.
Parked behind the hotel was transportation for the Army's Nascar entry.
This Queen Anne's Lace is sometimes considered a weed and sometimes cultivated in our area.  I think it is quite pretty.
The hotel didn't get busy until much later in the evening.
This hybrid impatien was near the front door.
I walked around and up a hill beside the hotel to get this image.  I really like to movement captured from this angle.

Tomorrow morning we will travel from Tennessee to Ohio.  I hope you are enjoying our road trip with us.  :)

Very best,
Lois

back on terra firma, I see. Blogging is a fine way of keeping ones own visual memories fresh as well as sharing them.

you are right, very pretty for a weed. I could work with those gorgeous, delicate patterns.

Beautiful snap of the flag. I can just see it's movement in the breeze!
