Barn on an Ohio Family Farm

Good morning,

Here is just one image today.

This barn is just South of Wilmington, Ohio, on Route 3.  What appeals to me is that it is so representative of small, family-owned farms we used to see on Sunday drives so many years ago before the huge mega-farms of today.

Enjoy,
Lois

PS - Yesterday I managed to get My Honey to give me four of his turned wood miniature bird houses to put into our shop.  :)))  He blogged about them as one of his hobbies awhile back, too.

People have asked us many times if he has them for sale and it has taken quite a bit of encouragement on my part to get him to sell some of them.  Well, now some are for sale.  You can see them by clicking on the image at the right.

Have I mentioned how cool I think they are?  :)))

PPS - Wow, this is fun!  Since I just wrote the above about the bird houses, two of them have been sold.

Four more coming very soon!

Love the barn.

And Honey better get busy. I think his wood turning is beautiful and will be a great holiday sale if they last that long!

Great old barn! The turned birdhouses are delightful, and I think they will sell very well. Kjell needs to spend more time in his shop, though I'm sure that will be a hardship for him!

The old barns are disappearing fast so it's always good to see one still in operation, Lois. And very nice little birdhouse that your Kjell creates.
