At Home At Last

Good morning,

Guess what I did when I got home!

The three round loaves are banana chip with cardamom.  The largest one will go to the dog club (for the humans) for an agility trial tomorrow. The four loaves in the back are egg bread.  *sigh*  The house smells like bread again.  :)

Now to check on the painting that was to be finished by the time we got home - just a little more to do on the second and third floor hallways and stairways.  Widmer's has been here to rehang the first floor drapes (they take them down, clean them, bring them back, rehang them), and pick out new carpet.  Just about everything from the living room is in the center of the room covered by a big yellow drop cloth right now.  It'll be a busy here for awhile!

Best,
Lois

I should have known it would be bread that you'd be making right away! And I keep forgetting to tell you how much I love the color splash of your new header photo Lois. It's just stunning! I hope we get to see some photos of the finished project at home!
Love Di ♥

Now WHY didn't that surprise anyone, Lois? First day home and baking bread - all looks delicious. Can you send samples?

The bread looks so good! It's probably just as well that I can only see it and not eat it as good bread is one of my weaknesses and I can easily overdo it. Looks like you'll be quite busy for a while getting your house back together, but it'll be so nice to have everything fresh and clean.
