Birthday Shrimp Party

 Good morning,

We had a great family birthday party for Catherine.  That cake was the dessert, of course, but the candles weren't lit and blown out in this Covid-19 year.  They do look very nice, don't they - and the cake was delicious!

Catherine's meal choice for her birthday was a shrimp party.  This is similar to the crew shrimp parties that we had on board, especially during crossings of the Atlantic Ocean.

In addition to cold shrimp, bread, mayonnaise, and cocktail sauce, we added cole slaw to have something that approximated a salad.  ;)
The shrimp was yummy as was the rest of the meal, but the best of all was the company.

Oh, and there was plenty of shrimp left for lunch tomorrow!

Happy birthday, again, Catherine.

Great pictures of Catherine and her Dad!
I don't eat shrimps, but the cake and the other food items on the plates (bread for instance) look delicious.
Well, many happy returns of the Day, Catherine!

It looks like a great party! I guess candlesare a thing of the past, thanks to covid. The guy with the knife looks familiar.

Wow, I haven't seen so much shrimp before on one plate! It is a delicacy here in Japan too and I think of a meal with two or three shrimp. Happy Birthday Catherine!
