Waiting at the Gate

Good morning,

Tax Season is hard on our pups.  Here you see Erik waiting at the gate for Catherine to arrive home from her office.  At this time of the year, though, she works late into the night.

Fortunately, we are no longer leaving for weeks at a time as we did before retirement when My Honey worked at sea and I traveled with him.  Now we are here most of the time so the pups aren't alone for several hours every day.  It's easier on Catherine now that we are retired, too, because with us at home she doesn't have to come home every few hours during Tax Season to let the pups out for exercise and to feed them.

Soon, sweet Erik, soon Tax Season will be over and Catherine will keep more civilized hours.

Must have missed the news about your husband's retirement. It is nice you are home for the dogs during your daughter's busy tax season. Are you enjoying being on land full time now?

Yes, Pamela, it's great being home.

The retirement post is here:

There were several other posts later that month about the activities leading up to retirement. Great fun!

Thanks for stopping by. :)

My other daughter is going to be getting a dog and I am wondering how the long hours will work out with it. It is not a puppy, but a dog she knows and the owners are going to give the dog to her.
