Norwegian Dinner ala Kjell

 Good morning,

Kjell won the Top Chef award here again this week with his Norwegian Meat (Beef) Cakes and cabbage in white sauce.

Boiled potatoes are traditional with this meal.  I added the applesauce and my home made bread.

We will have to eat more salads for awhile to make up for all of this!

;),

Lois

That looks delicious. Are the meat cakes similar to a meatball? Cabbage in white sauce sound both fresh and rich!

Yes, Holly, the meat cakes are similar to meatballs. It is the spices that separate them from other meatballs made by other cultures.

Kjell's recipe for the meat cakes is in this earlier post: https://loishands.blogspot.com/2012/09/norwegian-meat-cakes-and-brown-sauce.html

Your dinner looks delicious. Ages since I had meatballs/meat cakes for dinner. I've lost the habit of eating meat after I settled in Mauritius.
