Childhood Treat - PB&J

Good morning,

Here's a classic that is still just as good (or better!) today.  When I was in grade and high school I made myself a piece of peanut butter and jelly toast each morning that I consumed with a glass of orange juice.

That's a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on light toast in the picture made on the half-loaf size of my home made bread that makes a perfect size small sandwich snack.  As you can see from the size of the missing bite, this size sandwich is only four or five bites - perfect!

Of course, it's JIF peanut butter.  The historic jelly would be grape, but this one is raspberry jam that Catherine made and canned (jarred) some time ago.

In the background on the plate are four pieces of my bread with a "smear" of peanut butter, one for each of our pups.  Of course, they need a snack when we have one.

Happy Sunday!

Lois
