Casanova's in Grand Cayman

Good morning,

We are in Grand Cayman and having lunch at Casanova's again.  Our dear friends Martha and Russell have invited us, our Daughter Catherine, and Aunt Carol for lunch ashore.  How fun!
We were seated on an outside deck of the restaurant where we immediately saw some creatures that surely wanted to be photographed...
...so My Honey and My Daughter went down to the sea to take care of that.
We also had a marvelous view of our Mother Ship, Freedom of the Seas, from our lunch table.
Here I go taking pictures of the food again...
...so I'll just let all of these yummy looking images roll past.

A little extra cheese for Aunt Carol....  ;)

 The food just kept coming!
We actually managed to roll ourselves back to the ship.

Wow!  What a lunch ashore!  Thanks, again, to Martha and Russell to the wonderful lunch and especially for your friendship.

All the best,
Lois

Grand Cayman - At the Beach

Good morning,

Grand Cayman is a beautiful place!  There are so many wonderful things you can do here as you enjoy the sand and sun.  No wonder that so many of the world's rich and famous are drawn here.
We went ashore for lunch on a gorgeous day.  The restaurant is a short walk from the tender dock.
This fellow was pretty fast, but my camera managed to catch him in range.
Look carefully to see a local man who has placed a board in a tree to provide a perfect sea side seat.  Off in the distance you can see our Mother Ship, Freedom of the Seas.

Enjoy!

Freedom of the Seas from Sea Level

Good morning,

I took this series of images as we were leaving Freedom of the Seas on a tender boat to visit Grand Cayman.
You get a whole different perspective of this ship when you look at her from sea level!
We had just boarded the tender through that door.
And, as we pull away, we see just how tiny that door looks in the side of the huge ship.
There are two tender ports on the side of the ship.  We passed a tender similar to ours that was still loading.
What a gorgeous day to go ashore!
And, what a beautiful day for a "ship shot!"  :)  I love being able to see and photograph the ship from sea level.

Enjoy!

Tender to Grand Cayman

Good morning,

I took today's pictures while we were tendering to Grand Cayman from Freedom of the Seas.

There's that handsome man up there in that picture.  I see him like this quite a lot.  :)  Yes, that's My Honey.  We tend to take many pictures of each other taking pictures.
Those are three special ladies:  our friend Martha, Daughter Catherine, and Aunt Carol.
Above is a tender boat similar to the one where I was sitting as I took these pictures.
And, there is our beautiful mother ship, Freedom of the Seas.  I'll have more images of her from sea level coming.
I see My Honey like this often, too.  :)
Ah, ha!  There's that pirate ship again.
 What a comparison!
As we pull up to the tender dock, we see another tender off loading guests.
I'll have more images from our visit to Grand Cayman coming.

Enjoy!

Johnny Rockets - Freedom of the Seas

Good morning,

Yes, there is a Johnny Rockets restaurant on board Freedom of the Seas.
No, I shouldn't eat this stuff, but I do it once when our daughter visits us.  :)
Yes, I ate this and I haven't felt the same since!

Seriously, I truly LOVE the milk shakes and root beer floats at Johnny Rockets.  I also enjoy a hamburger once in awhile.  About two of these per year is enough!  ;)

Enjoy,
Lois

Family Suite - Freedom of the Seas

Good morning,

Today I'm showing you something I know I haven't shown you before.  This is the Family Suite on board Freedom of the Seas.  Above is the smaller bedroom of the two in the suite.
Some friends were staying in the suite and offered me a tour so I could show it to you here on the blog.  Above is one of the two bathrooms...
...and this is the master bedroom.
The suite is on the aft of the ship.
There is plenty of storage space and TVs everywhere you might want a TV.

This is the "living room" area of the suite.  Of course, it can be made up for more sleeping as needed.
There is a double size balcony with this suite.
I think I might like sleeping out here and watching the stars.  :)

This end of the balcony is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast.
What a beautiful suite for a family to enjoy a cruise together.  :)

Thanks to our friends Martha and Russell for giving me the tour.

All the best,
Lois
