On the Needles Now - More Waiting Room Knitting

Good morning,

On the needles now is a lavender sweater in my original eyelet design.  This sweater will be available in the shop when complete.

It's amazing how much knitting I get accomplished in waiting rooms.  The waiting room visits are all routine, but take quite a lot of time out of the week.

A few days ago we celebrated My Honey's birthday with family at home. 

We enjoyed a lovely dinner topped off by way too many calories in this cake and ice cream.

Good morning,

Wendy completed another Dock Diving Competition and is rewarded with a bath and message when she gets home.

I get the biggest kick out of watching and assisting (I towel dry) while Catherine bathes Wendy.  Those are powerful legs and sensitive feet that propel Wendy off of the dock and into the water.

At Catherine's request, Wendy is holding her leg up as Catherine gets more special soap for dogs.  Foot care is especially important for our canine athletes.

Wendy wags her tail all the way through her bath so it's a good idea to stay out of "wag range."

What a pretty face.

Just a rinse then she's ready for a towel dry!

Needlework and Wood Working Update - September, 2017

Good morning,

We have been extremely busy this month! 

Kjell has designed and made two new boxes in different sizes for the shop.

The corners are so beautifully made to highlight the hard woods he used.  

 This is the hat that was featured in our Shop Update and elsewhere as I worked on it while in waiting rooms.  Burgundy is the color for Fall.  This hand knit intarsia hat will add style and warmth to your winter outfit.  At this writing, it is available in the shop.

 The holidays will be here before we know it!  I've just completed this Christmas Afghan to brighten your holiday decor. 

 This Patchwork Sweater in Adult Size Small is a custom order that has been delivered to its new owner in Australia.  There are similar sweaters in other sizes available in the shop.  If you don't find one in your size, we'll be glad to take your custom order.

This sweater has gone to its new home along with matching...

 hat...

 ...headband, and boot cuffs.  Great for mix and match for different outfits and weather.

 This headband and boot cuff set was also completed this month.

 To restock the shop here are three more crochet baskets.

 These can be hung on a door knob or placed on a table...

 ...to keep keys, cell phone, glasses, and other important items where you can find them quickly.

 Luggage identifiers are also in the shop after being sold out last month.

And, finally, a red, green, and gold Toilet Tissue Topper just perfect for holiday decorating.

It has been quite a busy month and next month will be the same.

Fresh Spaghetti Sauce and Salad

Good morning,

We put the fresh home grown chives and oregano (see last two days' posts) to good use in spaghetti sauce and salad.  This is comfort food to us and having fresh ingredients makes it even better.

Yum!
