Labadee

Good morning,

One of Royal Caribbean's private island ports of call is Labadee, Haiti.
Over many years RCI has developed this port, added a dock and plenty of water sport activities.
Just gorgeous!
For those who have a hard time getting around, there are special wheel chairs that work very well on sandy beaches.
Time for a day at the beach!

Enjoy,
Lois

Does anyone live on the island or is it just a destination for RCCL?

Hi Sherry, Yes, people live on the other side of the island. This is Haiti. RCCL has leased the part you see in the images as a private destination. The cruise line provides employment for many locals and also builds schools and provides food and supplies. It is a win-win for the people of Haiti and the cruise line.
