I made bread yesterday afternoon. My goodness, the house smelled wonderful.
Marvelous, just marvelous!
I wish I could share the aroma with you....
All the best,
Lois

After I turned out the lights, I turned on the flash on my camera and snapped this picture of Erik asleep in the entrance hall of our home. The flash in the dark room makes our blue carpet look gray.
Erik is Chief of Security and, trust me, if anyone gets anywhere near a door or window, our whole house will know about it.
He's the man!
Sleep tight!

This is my current work in process. Actually, it's a large project so I'll be working on it off and on for awhile. It's not needed until Fall.
I've been asked to replicate a sweater I made more than thirty years ago. It fits perfectly so I've measured and recomputed the stitches needed to make it. Quite a process. I wasn't writing down patterns way back then and I'm sorry I wasn't!
So, I'll work on this off and on until it is finished later this summer. The colors are quite pretty, aren't they!
What are you making, baking, growing this week?
I truly enjoy reading your blogs and hearing from you.
All the best,
Lois

Elsa and Lily are checking out the noises from the property behind ours. There are new dogs back there! Could they be new neighbors? There are a German Shepherd and two smaller dogs.
I don't think they are new neighbors. I think they are with the people there cutting the grass. We'll see....
Aside: I love the way Lily has her arm around Elsa as she is trying to see over the retaining wall that we are hoping will soon be covered with greenery.
Precious.

Our friend, Bill, picked up fifty pounds of chicken necks and backs for our pups. Our three girls, Wendy, Elsa, and Lily are pictured.
After Kjell has packed the necks into individual containers, the box in which they arrived packed in ice becomes a real treat, especially on a hot day. The ice is chicken flavored, of course, so the pups are thrilled to finish it off before it melts.
I've posted about the necks and the pup's raw diet before when I took pictures during the process of packing the necks into individual containers to be frozen for use as needed. See that full post here.
Ah, yes, Summer fun!

Our pups have more toys than they can possibly play with in months.
Kids. ;)
They're so cute and predictable....

These are a few of the professional photographer's images of Elsa at the most recent AKC Agility Trials.
These African Violets continue to produce gorgeous flowers in our dining room.
Gorgeous!
Enjoy,
Lois
It has been a very busy couple of months of appointments for both Kjell and me so this Needlework and Wood Working Update covers the past two months.
Above you see the beautiful wind chime that Kjell made for our back yard.
Little tags for our pups with Catherine's office phone number on them.
Be sure to put one on your carry-on, also, so you can show it to the porter or cab driver to help find your luggage quickly. I have personal experience with these and how helpful they are when finding my luggage among the thousands on the conveyor belts. $5 for a set of six. See all available colors here.
So, we are all caught up! Come see what else we've made here EvensensProductions.com.
We sincerely appreciate your encouragement, comments, likes, shares, and purchases, too!
All the very best,
Lois
The lilies in the blue pots on our front porch are now in bloom.
So pretty!
Enjoy,
Lois
Good morning,
Happy Fathers Day to My Honey! Thanks for being you and all that you do for everyone!
The deer that passed through a few days earlier is a female deer. We seem to be the pathway for the entire deer family.
Sweet!

We never move the cars inside the gate when the pups are outside, but that didn't save Elsa's stuffy toy!
Daddy didn't see this critter when he pulled in. When I got out of the car and saw this, I said, "Oh, I'm sorry...."
The stuffy is just fine and Elsa is carrying it around today. She carries a toy outside every time she goes out and rarely brings them in. That means they all get gathered up every few days, take a trip through the washer and dryer, then are returned to the toy box in the living room.
All is well in the stuffy toy box today....

What a lovely surprise when my doorbell rang and these were delivered!
They are so pretty and fill our home with a lovely scent.
Thank you, Sons of Norway friends for sending these lovely blossoms. How very sweet of you!
All the best,
Lois
We got tired of waiting for our neighbor whose contractors destroyed the side of our driveway with a stump grinder and other equipment more than two years ago to do the repairs he had promised so we had it done last Saturday.
It's finished now. Life goes on....

These Pink Peonies bloom a week or so after our White Peonies which is nice because we have a longer time to enjoy them.
These Pink Peonies are a newer addition to the garden. I would guess I added them 30 or so years ago.

Here come the African Violets once again in the window garden.
Soon those pretty purple flowers will cover the top of the pot. That's a Christmas Cactus leaning over from the next pot.
The purple flowers are my inspiration for afghan color combinations.
Lovely.

It is such a joy to walk outside in the garden every morning to see what is newly blooming.
This time the pink rose bud had appeared.
The beauty of most of these flowers is that I planted so many of them years ago and they continue to return to provide so much pleasure.
Happy Sunday,
Lois
I got an alarm in the middle of the night that there was activity in our driveway.
When I checked the cameras, I found this.
Very cool!
Lois
The White Peonies have bloomed and are gorgeous this year!
The aroma is just amazingly delicious!
