Standing Guard

Good morning,

Ah, yes, Miss Wendy.  We sometimes call her "Wendy Woo Woo" because of her boundless energy.

In addition to being the life of the party here, she takes her guard dog job very seriously.

She sits at the french doors in the living watching the action on the street; she is ready to alert us whenever someone suspicious passes by.

She is so very serious about all of this!

And, when she barks, it's obvious she is serious!

Wendy, center, and her pals Penny, left, and Erik, right, patrol the "South Forty" of our property.  Here they are attentively  watching the activity down at the end of our driveway.

The fire truck was here because of a car on the street having nothing to do with us, but our dogs kept an eye on things for us to be sure they were staying where they belonged.  The dogs were quiet, but they were ready to alert us if anyone started to come up our drive!

Life is good with Labrador Retrievers.
