Summer Flowers in the Carolinas

Good morning,

Our road trips South always include a stop at a favorite rest stop in the boarder of North Carolina and South Carolina.
It is so much more than a rest stop.
It is also a park with beautiful gardening...
...and a comfortable place to stop and relax.

Every time we are here there are park personnel working on the gardens.

Lovely.

All the best,
Lois

A beautiful place for a picnic and rest stop. It's nice to see states putting emphasis on highway rest stops. Pennsylvania has a beautiful setting for it's welcome station. You can see Lake Erie and often the time of year I travel that route - early spring - Lake Erie has huge sheets of ice on it.
