San Juan in the Distance

Good morning,

That is the entrance to the Port of San Juan, Puerto Rico, off in the distance.
We are approaching on board Freedom of the Seas for a very rare visit to this port for this ship.
We visited here regularly aboard Splendour of the Seas ten to fourteen years ago.  We were here many more times on other ships before that.
The wall along the harbor hasn't changed, of course, in many, many years.

I took plenty of pictures as we sailed in...
...and will share more of them with you in the next few posts.

Enjoy,
Lois

Actually, Lois, the wall DID change. Some idiot ordered his or her workers to power wash it, and hundreds of years of patina was washed away... We heard it might have weakened the wall, too. Other than that, yes, it's the same.

Wow, thanks, River, for the update! Isn't it amazing how some people want to make old things better and they actually make them worse. "If it isn't broken, don't fix it!"

Thanks, everyone, for stopping by and your very kind comments.

All the best,
Lois
