United States Air Force Museum

 Good morning,

Just "up the road" from us near Dayton, Ohio, is Wright-Patterson Air Force Base which is the location of the United States Air Force Museum.
It has been many years since I've been here and My Honey had never been here before.
 The place has surely changed.
This Memorial Park outside the museum either wasn't here or has dramatically changed since I was here as a child.

The museum itself is so much larger now.  This is the gift shop area that is the first and last thing you see when you visit.
In addition to so many different aircraft, there are displays of uniforms...
...and a wonderful tribute to Bob Hope.
This is a detailed display of uniforms worn by...
...the military of many different nations.
 Then there are the planes.
I'll share more of them in future posts.

This museum is incredible.  More to come!

Enjoy,

 Lois

What a great museum! My dad was in the Air Force. I had quite an education being a military brat.

I 've been to the Museum but it was probably 28 or so years ago. Bob's uncle worked there for many years after he left the service. It's a great place to go visit!!...debbie

My husband was in the Air Force, when we married, we did some of our shopping at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Commissary. The museum has changed!

My husband and I spent a day and a half in there in 2007 when we went to the Columbus Airshow ("Mustangs and Legends). It was a wonderful Airshow, and the museum was mind-blowing. One could prob'ly spend a week in there and still not digest it all.

How interesting! I would love to see more pictures from the museum. My brother-in-law learned to fly in the Air Force and now he is a commercial airline pilot.

I would really like this place, there is only one thing I like more than boats and ships: airplanes, with a soft spot for military ones...
