Today's images are from Ripley, Ohio, and the newer entertainment establishments we found there.
The turtle above is out in front of the Snapper Saloon.
This place is new since we were last here a couple of years ago.
On our last visit we stopped in here for ice cream. Yum! This time, though, we had just eaten so passed on the ice cream.
This little row of buildings is overlooking the Ohio River. Flood waters have found them many times since they were built here.
This little town also has flag-lined streets as do many others on our mini road trip through Southern Ohio. Love it!
Enjoy,
Lois

I love the small quaint atmosphere these beautiful photos conjure. Wonderful tour. Leaves me wanting MORE.
Love the turtle and the black and white 'soda shoppe', a very elegant building.
I've never felt that I had to go see southern Ohio, but I'm feeling that way now.
They don't build buildings like that anymore. Love the old style architecture. It had so much charm.
Nice photo of the Labs swimming in unison! Thanks for the tour, Lois. It's nice seeing the places I haven't been to for awhile. Some of the buildings remind me a little of Lebanon.
This looks like such a fun place to visit. You did a nice job with your photos. LOVE your header!
Fun turtle! How sad that flood waters have covered the main streets in town. So much gets ruined!
Love that turtle! I always have room for ice cream!
i love that soda shop building! great motif!
I love that soda shoppe!
What a waste of ice cream, I would have eaten it, whether I was full. That is one helluva town. Beautiful photos.
Looks like your have a good time. Love that soda shoppe. I always say that there is always room for ice cream, I would have had to go in.
What a cute turtle :-) The flag lined streets are a lovely sight! What a great trip!
Another lovely little town! I love the turtle guarding his Saloon.

Hi Everyone,
We do have a grand time on our road trips. This trip is all within a day's ride of home. As much as we travel long distances, there is so much to see close to home.
Thank you so much, everyone, for stopping by and for your kind comments.
Very best,
Lois
...cool, Lois! I need to head over and see this. I know Matty would love it too. He loves small towns. My Great-great-greats had a house near here...part of the underground railroad.
p.s. love the turtle! :-)
