The Tradition of Wall Walking

Good morning,

There is a tradition of our dogs walking the stone wall between the upper and lower sections of our back yard.  Wendy showed Elsa the wall and Elsa has made it a regular part of her trips outside.

The wall is just behind those daffodils and is hard to see in this image because it is covered in vines.

The tradition continues....

Best Friends Share Toys

Good morning,

That's Wendy on the left and Elsa on the right sharing a deer antler.

We've cut off the point to blunt it and the dogs think it's the best chew toy possible.

The precious part is how these two share and pass the antler back and forth.

Deer naturally shed their antlers.  These antlers were picked up in the woods by a client of Catherine's.  Deer antlers can also be purchased in pet stores.

One Black Lab and FOUR Yellow Labs?

Good morning,

Our friend, Bill, stopped over with his pup, Penny, and we suddenly had four yellow dogs and one black dog in the back yard. 

Bill's Penny had her name when he adopted her last year.  Since we already have a Penny, we call his pup Penny, Jr. 

Our new baby Elsa certainly is in the middle of things. 

The dogs were busy watching their daddies talking outside the gate.

 Our pups always enjoy having their friends come to visit.

New Toy!

Good morning,

So many toys!  Baby Elsa has three other Labs in her family here so there are plenty of toys here!  Of course, Elsa got some of her own brand new toys, too. 

I had this new silly duckie toy turned right side up to take a picture, but Elsa quickly turned it over. 

The pups are exactly the same as human kids.  With hundreds of toys in this house, they always want the same one at the same time. 

The wonderful part of having so many toys is when Elsa came home to us, she was more interested in the toys than things she shouldn't be chewing and chasing. Of course, we are watching minute by minute.  ;)   She is a very good puppy.

"Ruff" Life

Good morning,

It's a "ruff" life to be an Evensen pup.  Poor thing has to nap on the couch.

That's Miss Wendy enjoying her nap out of the reach of the new little tornado, Miss Elsa. 

Elsa is getting just big enough to get on the couch now, too, though, so Wendy's naps there alone are numbered.
