Needlework and Wood Working Update - May, 2020

Good morning,

Here we are again for the monthly Needlework and Wood Working Update.  It has been a very productive month as we have been sheltering in place during the Ohio Stay-Home orders due to Covid-19.

Above is a pair of hands that are a beautiful gift for the wedding couple or the anniversary couple.  When ordered, the names and date of the wedding are requested from the buyer so they may be engraved on a wood insert that fits into the heart.  Just gorgeous!  I would treasure one of these for Kjell and me. $150.  More images and information here
This intricate piece is called "Viking Saga" and represents so many different Viking themes engraved in 2" heavy walnut wood.  $136.  More detailed information and images here.
We are all so very grateful to our truckers who are getting necessary items to us during the Covid-19 Pandemic and at all other times throughout the year.  Here's a wonderful thank you and a way to recognize those hard-working individuals.  $62.  More details and images here.
Helping and loving others is depicted on this symbolic cross.  The words of John 13:34 "Love One Another as I Have Loved You" are engraved in the base.  What a lovely gift for a caregiver or dear friend who has lived this in today's world.  $76.  Engraved on Padauk wood and finished to a shine with Danish Oil.  More images here.
Here is a very special Thank You to the female medical personnel who helped you or someone you love through the Covid-19 crisis.  It's engraved on Hard Maple and is appropriate for a doctor, nurse, respiratory therapist, aide, caregiver, or anyone who has had a part in helping us.  $54. More images and information here.
This is the male version of the Thank You to our medical personnel.  $74. on Cherry Wood.  This one is sold out at the moment.  If interested, please let me know by leaving a comment on this post.
Now to the Needlework completed this month.

Above is a feather and fan scarf that I am going to keep for myself.  The scarf I've been using for the past five or six years is showing wear, so it was time for a new one.  :)
This is a crib size Christening, Bris, Naming Ceremony blanket that will be used until baby grows into a larger bed and may be handed down to others in the family.  It is crocheted of non-allergic washable acrylic yarn and features a beautiful scalloped border.  $65.  More details and images are here.
This month I finished one more Lacy Ladders Hat and Cowl Set for the shop.  I'm restocking after being sold out of these last Winter.  What a classy way to stay warm.  $56 for the set.  More information and details here.
This is a 12 - 18 months Sweater and Hat set.  $45. It's a lovely gift for a baby shower or first birthday.   More information here.
I enjoyed working with those colors so much that I made this adult Stylish Seaman's Cap.  $24.  Available here.
And, here's a coordinating cowl scarf made of the same yarn.  $28.  More information here.
The Center for Disease Control and the State of Ohio (as well as many other States) have recommended we all wear masks when we have to go out in public.  I've made more than five dozen masks now for family, our daughter's office, and for the shop.  Following are a few representative masks.  They are available here in the shop.
Some of these are already gone, but there are many more colors available and I'm making more to keep the shop stocked as required.

That's it for this month!  We have quite a few more items in process now that I'll feature in next month's Needlework and Wood Working Update.

Thanks so much for your encouragement!

All the very best to stay safe, stay well, and stay strong.

Lois
