Meet Juno - The Wood Store Dog

Good morning,

This is Juno, the greeter at OP Wood in Springfield, Missouri.  Some of us who were attending the events with Bob's CNC visited this specialty store to see (and buy!) some beautiful woods for carving.

Juno was wonderful therapy for me because I was missing our Penny and other pups so terribly while we were away.

Needlework and Wood Working Update - September, 2019

Welcome to our September, 2019, Needlework and Wood Working Update.  Once each month I publish pictures of the items Kjell and I have completed during the previous month in his Wood Working Workshop and my Needlework Studio.  Some of the items are custom orders;  others are available now in our on-line Etsy Shop, EvensensProductions.com. 

Kjell's detailed engravings have kept him very busy all month.  It takes many days to design and make each of these items, then finish the wood to a beautiful shine.  Above is a wedding gift that has been delivered.  We will soon have another in the shop available for purchase with your personalized message.

This engraved wood stand has also been delivered.  The stand is sold separately to display wood or other art on a mantle, desk, shelf, or table if you elect not to hang it on a wall.

This Native American and his beautiful horse artwork engraved in padauk and walnut woods is entitled Freedom.  It is mounted on its own display base.  This item is available for purchase, $168.  Click the link for more images and information.

This hand knit sweater was a custom order that has been delivered along with a matching...

Needlework and Wood Working Update - August, 2019

Good morning,

This has been a busy month for both Kjell in his wood workshop and me in my needlework studio.

Above is a favorite Large Flower Garden Afghan Blanket. $155.  Click here for more images and information.

Here's another Large Afghan Blanket completed and sold this month.  I love these colors.  Have I mentioned I love blues?

I made the wool blend cloche hat above and

this non allergic acrylic cloche hat to restock the shop this month.  Dozens of cloche hats are available from $8.  Click here and scroll down to see them all.

Kjell has made some absolutely incredible wood carvings this month!  Above is Poseidon and the Vikings.  $88.  More images here.

Kjell has made two Equestrian pieces this month.  Both the horse artwork and the frame are engraved.  This is a larger piece, approximately 21" x 15".  $148.  More information here.

The wood art above can be hung on a wall or displayed with our stand sold separately.  The two Equestrian pieces require a larger stand than we have available for other, smaller items in the shop.  This larger stand is available here.

Here's something that Kjell made for us.  This is so much fun!  I did a separate blog post about this and included a video so you can see how it works.  Here it is.

Kjell made this for us.  It is mounted on the gate across the driveway to the back of our yard.  He engraved the wood and hand painted it.  Classy!  Think that's a clear message? 

And, finally, I made several more sets of Luggage Identifiers in a variety of colors.

These certainly are terrific to have on your luggage when trying to find your own among the thousands of others at a cruise or airport terminal.

June was a very colorful month for us!  We've been busy once again creating a variety of items for custom orders and for our shop.

The pretty Flower Garden Afghan is new and available here.  $155.

This gorgeous engraved box is a custom order and has been delivered.  A similar box is in production now and will be available in the shop soon.

This Patchwork Sweater was also a custom order and has gone to its new home in Illinois.  Similar sweaters are available in the shop here.  Prices vary according to size and style.

This Burnt Orange Cables and Lace sweater was a custom order and has been delivered.  Similar sweaters are available in the shop here.  Prices vary according to size.

These burnt orange boot cuffs are no longer available.  A similar pair in tan is available here.  $24.

This burnt orange headband is no longer available.  We have several headbands in this and similar styles here.  Prices vary according to style and materials.

Extra Large, Extra Thick Pot Holders/Table Pads are back!  10 Inch Diameter.  These are large enough for a man's or woman's hands.  Cream and Teal here.  $18/pair

Needlework and Wood Working Update - May, 2018

Good morning,

This month's Needlework and Wood Working Update is very, very short.  Generally, we have quite a few items that we've completed during the previous month, but this time we were busy with my surprise appendectomy on Friday the 13th and our two week vacation. 

Quality certainly makes up for the lack of quantity, though!  The Welcome Sign above featuring a Labrador Retriever is already spoken for and delivered.  Kjell will make another for our daughter, Catherine, and at least one for the shop. 

Kjell added another beautiful turned wood pen to the shop this month.

This Nordic Knit Intarsia is new in the shop this month.  $38.  The color on my monitor isn't quite the same as the real thing.  The hat is actually a true red, black, and white. 

And, this pretty flower with a butterfly was a custom order.  A lady asked me to make a flower for a hat already in the shop so I made up a custom listing for her.  We are always happy to talk with customers about making special orders just for them.  Just ask!  Lois@EvensensProductions.com.
