Wildlife Museum - Bardstown, Kentucky

Good morning,

While we were waiting for the Civil War battle reenactment, we walked through the Wildlife Museum that is a part of the Civil War Museum in Bardstown, Kentucky.
There is so much to see here that it would take at least a week to see most of it.

Other than these critters, we were the only ones here.  ;)
The door was unlocked and all the display lighting was on.
Not only are the animals beautifully preserved, the displays are wonderful.

I would not have wanted to run into this guy while he was alive.

 Just beautiful.

We also had time to walk into Bardstown for lunch before the battle.  More images to come.

Best,
Lois

I would probably be distracted by the idea of the coming battle, but this is a very interesting museum.

Each time I see a wild boar, I am reminded of a trip I took to Germany when I was 20. Wild boar was on the menu!!!
