Capturing a Sunset at Sea

Good morning,

One of the best places to witness beautiful sunsets is at sea.
My Honey and I were lucky to witness an especially beautiful sunset from our balcony aboard Freedom of the Seas.  That's him to the right of this image using his Canon 7D.  I used my new "baby camera" Canon PowerShot SX210 IS.  Although I have larger Canon cameras, I was using the baby camera this week so I could have it in my pocket everywhere I went.  I am quite happy with the results.
 The lower the sun dropped...
...the more orange filled the sky...
...until the sun dropped below the water.

So pretty.

My Honey publishes images that he has turned into gorgeous artwork on his blog.  Click here to take a look at his beautiful, detailed digital artwork.

Very best,
Lois

Very beautiful! I really like photographing sunsets and sunrises, especially when there are clouds - without the clouds, the photos lack that rare beauty. Your camera is working out great!

beautiful. I was brought up by the sea and miss it a lot since I moved inland. If ever i go anywhere on the coast i always go back to the beach.

Good morning,

My Honey and I have been taking pictures of sunsets for years and are always mesmerized by them. When comparing the pictures they are all so beautifully different. I never get tired of them.

Thank you, everyone, for stopping by.

Very best,
Lois
