I have just a few more images to share of sailing out of the Port of Miami. These are taken while passing Miami Beach, Florida, also known as South Beach. Above you see the Miami Beach Marina and some very expensive condos.
In the bottom left of this image is the Smith & Wollensky Steakhouse where the food is a good as the view. Along the shoreline is a park that extends...
...down to the famous Miami Beach. I have been here many times, but just can't get enough of this view.
As our ship passes the sea wall we see the miles-long gorgeous Miami Beach.
So pretty!
Best,
Lois

Hi Lois, lovely beach and skyline shots to see early on a Sunday.
We woke up to overcast skies and the forecast of more rain on the VA eastern shore after overnight showers. This makes it a great day for lazing around. Grenville likes that after a busy few days assembling the greenhouse. He is really quite happy with the finished result.
Great views! I've never seen that perspective of Miami.
Good sun therapy for me....we've had a great spring, but this past week has rained almost every bit. Good for the gardens, but not for my psyche!
Thanks for the dose of sun!
Sue
Beautiful photos, Lois!!!

This looks very tranquil.
BIG SIGH!!! This just makes me want to live on the beach even more! How awesome would that be?! Love Di ♥
Great photos of the coastline!! The ship must be so tall to get those shots! Hard to imagine. I've only seen the ships from a dock. and they looked huge then. wonder if I'll ever go on a cruise??? maybe some day with a girlfriend or my daughter. She's been on one already...lol...debbie
Good morning,
Yes, this view of South Beach is wonderful from a ship sailing out from the Port of Miami in the late afternoon. I was standing on Deck 7, one of my favorite places on board. Another place to get images from an even higher position is Deck 12, one deck above the Pool Deck. I like Deck 7, though, because it is quieter. There's a great pool party going on as we sail out which is fun, but I'm really out there for the peace, quiet, and images. :) You can get just about any atmosphere you want on a modern cruise ship.
Sure, Debbie, I hope you will cruise some time and that it'll be on a ship where we are at the time. We are soon transitioning home for awhile, then will return to sea aboard Freedom of the Seas out of Port Canaveral at the very end of July.
Thank you, everyone for stopping by. I just love reading your great blogs, too. What a wonderful group of people there is out here in blog land. :)
Very best,
Lois
