Majesty of the Seas Approaching Nassau, Bahamas

Good morning,

On a beautiful sunny day just before Noon I stood on deck 7 forward, Promenade Deck, and watched the approach to Nassau, Bahamas.
Guests are able to watch the approach...
...and the action on the bow of the ship as the deck crew...
...prepares the lines for arrival.
These are the huge lines that will be dragged ashore by dock workers to keep our ship all tied up until Midnight when we sail away once again.
It's a busy day in Nassau.  We will be at a dock to the far left behind that little island where you see the lighthouse in the foreground.

The ship to the far right is Monarch of the Seas, an exact copy sister ship to the ship where I am standing to take these pictures.
And, here you see us passing through the small entrance to the Nassau harbor.  This lighthouse is on the end of Paradise Island;  at the other end of that long thin island you can see the famous Atlantis.

Paradise Island was originally called Hog Island.  The name change was a good idea.  :)

Best,
Lois

GREAT pictures! You look so High UP! Guess you are though huh?! The people look so small, which really gives you an idea of how massive the ship really is!! Have fun on the Island!! ...debbie

Hello, Ladies,

Yes, it is very beautiful out here. All of the blue is so calming. It's no surprise that blue is my favorite color.

Yes, Debbie, I was high up. I was on deck 7. That's the Promenade Deck and extends all the way around the ship. Not all promenade decks do that on some of the newer ships. Now days the trend is to have a jogging path on the top deck of the ship.

Thanks so much for stopping by. :)

Best,
Lois
