Farm Fixer Upper

Good morning,

This farm is located in South Central Ohio.  It appears to be abandoned...
...but there is a vehicle parked near the house.

The condition of the property shown above is unusual in this area.
Just up the road, this is another, more typical farm in this area:  well cared for and in active use.

This was a day of contrasting sights.

It is sad to see run down properties. Somebody could buy that at a good price and restore it to it's original shine.

They must have fallen on hard times. I like seeing the silo!

sad to see the one not used or maintained.

I have seen several run down places today, but could not stop to take a photo, and things so close I could not get a shot from the road.

It has always amazed me how some people could have just abandoned what was once a family home or in this case, a farm. I often wonder if there was just no one left who would care or care for the property, which is sad on both ends, Lois.
