Dessert for Dinner?

Good morning,

Here's a break from the puppy pictures for a moment.

We thought it was pretty funny that we managed to construe this to be a dinner meal:

Me:  How about breakfast for dinner?

He:  Sure.  Sounds good.

Me:  I think I want pancakes.

He:  You know I like them thin.

Me:  Yep.  We call those crepes on this side of the pond.  I guess I need to fill them with something.  I think peach filling.

He:  Sounds good.

Me:  Gotta have some whippy cream, too.

He:  Oh, yes, of course.

Me:  I guess I'll add some bacon to make it look like a meal.

He:  Perfect.

Yum!

Looks yummy! You know that in Norway we think it is strange that Americans have pancakes for breakfast :)

Hi Marit Johanne,

Yes, I know that pancakes are not the usual breakfast food in Norway.

We used to have waffle cakes at 3 PM every Saturday with the Engine Department guys while on board the Norwegian flagged ships. It was coffee and sweets time. :) We had them with brown cheese, strawberry topping, and whipped cream. YUM!

The pancakes are definitely different in the US unless we are having crepes.

All the best,
Lois

We have breakfast for supper every so often...I think I enjoy it more then than I do in the morning.
