New Shops - Freedom of the Seas

Good morning,

Recently I showed you an "under construction" zone on the Royal Promenade aboard Freedom of the Seas.
New shops were being built and now it is time for the grand opening.
The captain and other senior officers are present...
...as well as plenty of cameras and an audience.
My pictures are from the side...
...but I got the important ones.  ;)

And, finally, here are a few of the people involved in the renovation and construction of the new area.

All the best,
Lois

It looks exciting!

Look at the last picture! A 7 foot tall female Admiral!

Ha! Mark you are so funny.

Just some info about all of those stripes. The stripes with the white between them are hotel officers/employees, i.e., hotel director, etc.. They have to do with the hotel operations only and nothing to do with running the ship itself.

The stripes without the white behind them are the marine officers, i.e., captain, chief engineer, etc. These are the people who get the ship from A to B. ;) These are licensed marine officers.

Thanks for all of your kind comments.

All the best,
Lois

Hi Lois, amazing to think of a shop being readied on a cruise ship and with a grand opening. Are all the supplies, etc., loaded ahead and then everything assembled on board? Nice looking senior officers and know your favorite one is right there too.

Hi Everyone,

Beatrice, all the supplies for the job are brought on board in advance.

We also have a full inventory of spare parts and tools for regular use/repairs on board.

Betsy, Yes, shopping is good! ;)

Thanks, everyone, for stopping by and for your very kind comments.

All the best,
Lois
