Independence of the Seas - St. Maarten, Dutch West Indies

Good morning,

I took today's images while walking deck 12 of Freedom of the Seas while we were docked in St. Maarten, Dutch West Indies.
Tied up beside us was Independence of the Seas.
Independence is a sister ship copy of Freedom, so looking at her is like looking in the mirror.
We are so close tied up on opposite sides of the dock that I cannot get all of Independence in the same image.  ;)
The ships are facing in opposite directions which made for even more interesting image angles.  :)

Enjoy!

Lois

seriously amazing ships. their size is a bit frightening but still awesome. I only see them from the shore. And even from here they are just huge!

That ship just dwarfs everything else around it, doesn't it? Magnificent! My lower back has been killing me, so haven't been sitting at the computer too much. But I'm still looking!

Like looking at your reflection!

It is hard to fathom how many people must flood into the streets of these small Caribbean islands when a pair of cruise ships like these tie up at the same time.

I never get used to see how big these ships are! Amazing!
