Final Leg of the Journey - TN to OH

Good morning,

These images are from the final leg of our journey from Florida to Ohio.
When we woke up in Tennessee we knew there was some wet weather between us and our home in Ohio...
...and it didn't look too bad as we started driving very early.
 But, sadly, it got worse...
...and soon it was very hard to see the traffic ahead.
Things got a little better as we crossed into Kentucky.  Sadly, we had already seen many accidents and vehicles being pulled out of ditches.  There was even an 18 wheeler overturned and cargo scattered everywhere.  Another truck had arrived and the cargo was being reloaded onto that truck.  Another accident involving several vehicles happened immediately in front of us.  No serious injuries, but, sadly, I am sure those people had a bad day.

We were very thankful to arrive home safely.

We hope you have a very safe winter season!

All the best,
Lois

I wish people would slow down in bad weather, it would save a lot of hassle, headaches & nightmares! Glad you slowed down & avoided a catastrophe!

It's stressful to drive but especially so in the rain/fog. We have had a lot of rain since the weekend.

I would guess you had some wet weather. We sure have had or share of rain here where we live. Lettering the dog in and out and cleaning him up when he comes in is a pain in the you know what.

I popped over from Barn Charm. You had a stressful drive! I was hoping for a few pretty flakes here in central KY but instead it looks like there was the stuff you can't see that makes people slide off the road.

Glad you got home safely!

I don't like driving in those conditions...or even being there with someone else driving...glad you avoided the accidents.
