Snorkel at Coco Cay, Bahamas

Good morning,

This is my daughter Catherine's sea level view of Freedom of the Seas as she prepared to take a look below the surface with her snorkel gear and Canon PowerShot D10 camera.  We bought the camera just for Catherine to use this way.
Nearby were others snorkeling...
...and wonderful views of the ocean floor.
We are all delighted with the camera...
...and the great pictures Catherine took.
There are so many beautiful things to see.
Here's a conch eating his way through the sea grass.  Hopefully, he won't become a conch fritter and his shell a decoration for someone's coffee table.
There are some very colorful fish...

...and snorkelers.
So pretty.
Some look curious about the snorkelers...
...but most...
...don't seem to care.
There is a crashed airplane for snorkelers...
...and the fish to explore.
The underwater colors are just exquisite.
Finally, Catherine surfaces once again.  This is the sea level view of the beach where she started.

Thank you, Catherine, for the gorgeous pictures!  I hope everyone has enjoyed them.

Best,
Lois

Catherine did a nice job in showing us some underwater beauty, Lois. It's amazing how clear it was down below and the aquatic life so colorful. Also enjoyed the Straw Market pics and a great shot of Freedom from the tender yesterday.

Beautiful photos! You all must have been very excited when Catherine came back with such wonderful shots. The camera worked great underwater. It would be a good one to have out on a rainy day so you wouldn't have to worry about it getting wet.

Good morning,

Yes, Catherine and the Canon Powershot D10 did a great job. The camera is a little pricey for restricted use, but worth it for the pictures she got. It is small to hold in your hand, but not a shape you can carry easily in your pocket for use out of the water.

Thanks so much, everyone, for stopping by.

Very best,
Lois

The camera (and photographer) did a great job with those photos. I'm impressed with how clear they are.

I love to snorkel, so it's fun to look at these pictures and imagine myself snorkeling. So relaxing and fun!

Thanks for sharing these pictures as your colors of September!!
