Ice Carvings

Good morning,

I just have a couple of pictures today.  I got a kick out of seeing these gentlemen from the culinary department in the process of moving ice sculptures from cold storage behind the scenes to the display area here:
Those are two of the three sculptures that were on that cart are displayed on Freedom of the Seas' Royal Promenade.

Gorgeous!

Enjoy,
Lois

The ice carvings are delightful! Do they carve them on the ship or are they brought aboard already done?

I am playing a little catchup since we have been traveling this week. I've missed several of your delightful stops so with a little downtime I have been enjoying seeing what you've been doing.

Good morning,

The blocks of ice are frozen on board, then artists from the Culinary Department carve them. I have pictures of a carving demonstration from Splendour of the Seas on line here:

It's Sunday! I am on line with my Verizon cell connection, but the ship isn't tied up yet. Band width is a problem because there are 5,500 people all trying to get a connection at the same time.... :(

Thank you, everyone, for stopping by.

Very best,
Lois
