Fresh Oregano

Good morning,

We have a pot of oregano growing beautifully on our patio this summer.  I'll surely take some clippings to keep it going inside during the winter.

Now that we are home year round we are able to keep more of our plants happy.  Do you grow your own herbs?

We used to grow our own herbs when we had a garden at our VA home, years ago. And we have considered getting some oregano, basil, and rosemary plants as we have a large window sill and plenty of light. The drawback is in watering them when we are on day trips. So now, we settle for buying cut fresh herbs at the supermarket. It's not perfect, but better than always using dried ones.

I need some of your oregano! I tossed out all my spices last week (moldy) and forgot I needed oregano for tonight's tomatoey dish!
