Dinner with Friends

Good morning,

The last couple of weeks have been very busy for us.  It was nice to take an evening off and go out to dinner with friends just across the river from Cincinnati in Northern Kentucky.
The story about this tunnel in downtown Cincinnati is interesting.
There is a park where the highway needed to be so the highway was built under it.
The Cincinnati Reds were playing at home...
...as we passed downtown Cincinnati on Ft. Washington Way...
to the Brent Spence (I-75) Bridge across the Ohio River...

...to Northern Kentucky.  The round hotel on the left has a revolving restaurant at the top.  When the kids were little, they called it the "Rounder Rounder Restaurant."
We had dinner at the Greyhound Tavern.  Above is the outside garden of the tavern.  It was too cool to eat out here this evening so we ate inside.
And, here we are enjoying the evening with a toast of iced tea, water, and coke with our friends Tor and Teresa.  ;)   The dinner that followed that toast was fantastic and the company even better.

Cheers!

Lois

Cincinnati looks like an interesting city. Great shots of the tunnel, the bridge, the round restaurant! Outside, the sky is grey, cloudy; inside - cheerful atmosphere at dinner with your friends.

(By the way, I have a cousin in this city whom I detected through internet during a genealogical quest that I did some ten years ago and of which I'm very proud as it was not an easy task.
I was hoping to meet her in Cincinnati someday. Well, her younger sister who also lived in this city, died somehow unxpectedly, and for some reason, my cousin didn't want to reveal the cause. I felt hurt by that and stopped my correspondence with her.)
