Happy Fathers Day! Fountain Square - The Heart of Cincinnati

Good morning,

Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there!

Here we are wandering around downtown Cincinnati with cameras in hand.
These images were taken on Fountain Square, our City Center.
For many years the Carew Tower was the tallest building in our skyline, but it has long been passed by newer buildings.
On the first floor of Carew Tower...

is a Brazilian Restaurant that we enjoy.
Can you see the restaurant on the second floor of this building? That's another elegant place to dine.
In the center of this image is the old Central Trust Tower, now owned by PNC Bank.

On the other side of Fountain Square is the DeBois Tower, home of Fifth Third (an improper fraction!) Bank and many other businesses.
On another side of the square is a smaller building that houses businesses, a sky walk connecting other buildings, and a brewery on the ground floor.  More to come about that last spot.  ;)

All the best,
Lois

Never been to this city but looks like a good place to explore on a weekend stroll.

When I lived in Frankfort many years ago, Cincinnati was a girl's destination for shopping, antiquing, gardening and art. Love the neighborhoods like Mt. Eden and so close to two other favorite OH spots like Lebanon.

Happy Father's Day! Too big a city for me too - I'm from a one-horse town with graveled streets...a Post Office (for now); a bank, a bar, an ice cream shop and a school. Oh and a convenience store/gas station.
