Too Much Ship, Not Enough Camera

Good morning,

I took today's images while standing on the deck of Freedom of the Seas.
The ship on the next dock here in St. Maarten, Dutch West Indies, is the Celebrity Summit.
No matter how hard I tried and from what angle, I just couldn't get that whole ship in the same shot.  What a pretty ship.

Celebrity Cruises is owned by Royal Caribbean so the Celebrity Summit is a "cousin" ship. ;)

Enjoy,
Lois

That is a big ship. You need a fisheye lens maybe if you want to keep haring around the big vessels.

Belated Mother's Day wishes, Lois, and hope you enjoyed a wonderful day. To solve this problem, you may need a wider angle lens or the ship needs to shrink?

Yogi and Beatrice, thanks for the suggestions. The post is supposed to be a joke, of course.

If I back up, I'll be in the water. ;) That's always been a joke around here: "Back up and get it all!"

I do have a camera with a fish eye lens. I was using my little pocket camera while out walking the deck.

Thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind comments.

Next month I'll be back home where I can visit other blogs more regularly with a real life Internet connection. ;) I miss visiting you all while we are out here floating around.

All the best,
Lois

At the Cayman Car Museum, I had the same problem, I couldn't get far enough away to get the shot I wanted.

One would get plenty of exercise walking around the deck! Looks huge.
