Passing Kings Island

Good morning,

I snapped these two pictures as we were passing Kings Island awhile ago.  Kings Island is just North of Cincinnati, but we haven't been here for years.  I guess we've gotten way past all the rides and crowds.
Isn't it interesting, though, that when the place is mentioned on the news is about the only time we think of it being so close.  Kings Island was built soon after Cincinnati's Coney Island closed many years ago.

The fun part this year is that our daughter-in-law and granddaughter have been hired to be part of the Halloween Scarey events at the park.  They've been going to regular rehearsals already.

It should be fun!

All the best,
Lois

I took a driveby pic of the roller coaster there one time when we were driving to Kentucky! Our daughter loves roller coasters so I had to show her the huge one there. Enjoy the day.

I do hope that there will be photos of them during the Halloween festival there.

That does sound like fun for Halloween! I'm not much into theme parks anymore. I think it is because I spent too much time chaperoning my kids on class field trips to Disney World when they were younger.

You were in my 'neck of the woods' Lois, ten minutes from here. My daughter worked in the Coney Gift Shop at Kings Island during her college years and my g'daughter later worked there, in the Glass Shop, during her college time. I haven't visited for years, but grandsons still do.

You must find a way to get some shots of this Halloween Scarey!

I never went there when I worked in Columbus. But, everyone talked about it. These days, I am hoping I never have to ride a roller coaster ever again.
