Boat Launch at Fernbank Park

Good morning,

Here are a few more images from our recent trip to Fernbank Park west of Cincinnati.
Many, many years ago I helped friends launch their small pleasure boat into the Ohio River here.
My Honey and I walked all the way down to the river - that's him down there ahead of me.
That old piece of drift wood wouldn't be fun to hit in the water with your boat propeller.
What a gorgeous day beside the Ohio River.

The ramp obviously needs some repairs, but I imagine it is still being used.

 All the best,
Lois

I love Cincinnati. My daughter and I visited a friend there this summer. What a lovely area for a walk!

Very pretty! I have a cousin who collects driftwood and makes all kinds of things like birdhouses and planters out of it.

That's interesting. I love the caution sign about the uneven pavement. I wonder if they should add something a "Big River Straight Ahead"

A quiet day on the river. There should be some barges passing by.

Beautiful day for a walk by the river. Even needing repair the boat launch looks much more sophisticated than the launches here.
