Norwegian Holiday Food

 Good morning,

This is only one of the terrific holiday meals we've enjoyed this season.  Medisterkaker is Norwegian Pork meat balls with special spices.  To complete the meal we have mashed peas, boiled potatoes, brown sauce (gravy), red cabbage, and cranberry sauce.  I made the cranberry sauce and Kjell made all the rest.

We had enough to enjoy it for two nights.  Fabulous!

Although many of us aren't able to celebrate in person with family and friends, we hope you are enjoying the traditions and tastes of the season.

All the very best,

Lois

Happy 2021! It looks soooo yummy! I had roasted pork ribs, surkål and rødkål, brown gravy and potatoes for dinner on Christmas Eve. Medisterpølser (from France) are usually sold in the supermarkets for Christmas, but unfortunately not this year. Medisterkaker is not available here, nor is tyttebærsyltetøy. I 'survived' without! lol
