Needlework and Wood Working Update - August, 2018

Good morning,

It's time to review the items made during the past month in Kjell's Wood Working workshop and my Needlework studio.

Above is a fun plaque to commemorate (with tongue in cheek) the First Group Cruise of the Vikings (the real Scandinavian Vikings) as they set out to distant lands together.  When this item was finished and I listed it in the shop, I also posted it on Facebook.  It was sold in less than 48 hours.  I've asked the Director of Wood Working (that's Kjell) to make another for the shop.   ;)
Kjell has made ten of these, but they are not for sale.  These are to replace fancy wood flowers on the front of our home.  They'll be mounted and painted white this Fall when we have other outside wood work done and the house painted.

Kjell has several other beautiful wood projects in process now that will be in the shop soon.  Inside information:  four of them are gorgeous jewelry or keepsake boxes.
This is the afghan of the month, a gorgeous garden of pink flowers. $155.  Click here to see more views, including close up views of this beauty.
This little Lavender Flower Pot Ladybug Baby is precious!  $55. More detailed images here.
Patchwork!  Here's a patchwork sweater in Adult size 34-38.  $160.  These are available in many sizes for children, too.  These have been as popular with adults as they are for children.  There is also a matching sweater for your 18" doll.  Prices vary by sweater size.   More information and additional images here.
This is a set of Luggage Identifiers that become extremely valuable when you're claiming your luggage at a cruise or airline terminal.  $5 for a set of 6.  Click here to see  the many colors available or we'll make your favorite color for you.

Here's a cloche hat for the shop.  From $8.  At this writing we have more than 70 of these available in all sizes.  Click here to see them all.

And, finally, two Toilet Tissue Toppers joined the shop this month.  Above is Walnut Brown and...
...this one is in Emerald Green Sparkle with red and white ribbons perfect for your Christmas decor.  For St. Patrick's Day, simply remove the red ribbon.  $8. each.  See them all here or tell us what colors you would like to have.

There are a number of items in process in my Needlework Studio, too:  an afghan blanket in the colors of the ocean, a beautiful red shawl perfect for Christmas and New Years events, an aqua sweater, and others.  They'll all appear in the shop as they are completed and photographed.  Of course, I'm always happy to take custom orders, too.

What are you knitting, crocheting, making, baking, planting, photographing this month?  I love reading all of your blogs to see what my creative friends are doing.

All the best,
Lois
