Needlework Update - July, 2013

Good morning,

It's amazing how fast each month goes and I suddenly realize it's time for another monthly Needlework Update.  With all the travel, craft room remodeling, trees removed at home, and guests visiting, I have only two needlework "finishes" to show you this time.

Above you see an "Ocean Waves" sweater.  I absolutely LOVE these colors!
The other item finished this month is this Cables and Lace sweater in watermelon color yarn.  There is a similar one in the shop in yellow here.  I plan to make one of these for myself, too, as soon as I get the time to make it!

Both of these sweaters shown above were custom orders so are spoken for.  There are many other sweaters and other items for all ages available for immediate shipping in our on line Etsy shop, EvensensProductions.  Or, let me know if you would like something made just for you.
Also new in the shop this month are three more turned wood handle and chrome seam rippers made by My Honey in his wood workshop.  These are so very nice to use and fit so comfortably in your hand.  They are the perfect gift for anyone who sews.  Click on the image to see the seam rippers in the shop.
These three new For the Love of Cross Stitch magazines are in the shop, too.  While sorting through my needlework library while my craft room was being remodeled, I came across these new books, still sealed in their plastic mailing covers.  The three magazines have a total of 75 projects;  the original cost for all of them is $14.85 and you can have them all for $3 plus shipping.  These will be a great reference for yourself or anyone who enjoys cross stitch.  I would like to see someone have them who will enjoy them.  Some years ago I had a subscription to a crochet magazine that went out of print so the publisher substituted this magazine for the remainder of my paid subscription.  Since I was so involved with crochet and knitting, I put them away with my needlework library and never even opened them.  Click on the picture to see more about them.

So, that's it for this month!  Next month there will surely be more new items to show you.

I enjoy seeing what you are all making, too!

We now return to our regularly scheduled blogging.  ;)

All the very best,
Lois

You both do nice handicraft work. The seam rippers are very nice. The sweaters are beautiful. three of our four daughters love to cross stitch, I don't care for it, tried it, but I would much rather crochet. I have a friend that belongs to a group, they call themselves the Stitching Bitches, you mentioned the Happy Hooker name for a group of ladies and it was changed to Creative Crochet. Thanks for stopping by.
