Ewwww. That wouldn't be very pleasant Lois. We found some last year that was bigger than hubby's hand and very thick. They were some kind of giant mushroom I think.
LOL, we have those darn things crop up in the yeard every once in awhile. Sometimes sever different varieties. They are in deed squishy!! lol...debbie
Hi Lois...I love finding fungus of all kinds they are so interesting!!Nice find!!! : )Grace
No sandals for me! LOL. I rarely wear them - too many mosquitoes around here in the summer months.
laughing at the sandals comment. :)
There's a fungus among us- wait, I think it's a Toadstool.
A surprise in the green...
I occasionally find mushrooms in my Connecticut yard and it usually means that something below the surface (like roots from a cut-down tree) is rotting away.
I get tickled just picturing walking barefoot and stepping on one before you see it.
Nope, don't want to step on one in sandals. But better than the slug I stepped on in my bare feet when I lived in Seattle. That happened over 40 years ago and it's still clear in my mind.
You are a poet! I like your new header!
