Leaving the Port of Cozumel, Mexico - Pilot Boat

Good morning,

Today's images were taken in the evening light near Cozumel, Mexico, just as Freedom of the Seas was departing.
I am on board on deck 4, watching the Pilot Boat and the process as we pulled away from the dock.
After we are away from the dock and the pilot has done his job consulting with the Captain on the bridge...
...the harbor pilot prepares to leave the ship and step onto the pilot boat that has pulled close along side.  In the image above, he has just stepped off of the ship.  The man in the blue cap just helped him aboard the pilot boat.  The pilot is wearing a red life jacket and is ready to go inside the pilot boat.
Then, off they go...
...back to...
...Cozumel where they will await the next time a pilot is needed to help guide a ship into or out of port.
And, off we go aboard Freedom of the Seas to our next port.

Enjoy,

 Lois
