River Queen Dixieland Jazz Cruise - Part 2 of 3

Good morning,

We are ready to board the River Queen  and enjoy lunch, dixieland jazz, and a cruise.
We are tied up across the Ohio River from Cincinnati so have excellent views of the bridges between Ohio and Kentucky.
As we walked from the terminal to the gangway, we passed raised gardens.  Perhaps they were growing fresh food for their floating restaurants?  :)

We went aboard and headed for an outside deck to take some pictures before lunch was served.
This is the paddle wheel of the Belle of Cincinnati, docked near us.
Tables were reserved so we went inside to locate ours.  The buffet luncheon was being set up and the jazz had begun.  We recognized the band from an earlier cruise on the Belle of Cincinnati.
Back outside we took advantage of perfect weather to get some pictures.
We try to take a river cruise every time we are home in Cincinnati.  This is beautiful, isn't it!
Back inside, we were given the drink list...
...and the opportunity to buy a drink in a souvenir glass. :)  We opted for iced tea and went back outside for more pictures.
We have a few clouds now.  I like that.

This is the view back to the parking lot.  Our car isn't alone up there now.

This is the photographer who took everyone's picture as we boarded.  She wasn't able to get the pictures printed to be delivered to us when we returned.  We thought we would never see them, but they did arrive in the mail about a week later.  Very nice.
Finally, everyone had boarded our river boat, the River Queen.  The boarding began for the Belle of Cincinnati began and we are about ready to cast off.

More images of our cruise tomorrow.  I hope you enjoy it with us.

Best,
Lois

These are beautiful pictures Lois. I bet the band was enjoyable. There is a really good Dixie Band in town here. Waiting for the rest of your cruise tomorrow.
