Dog Show Ribbons

Good morning,

Almost every weekend our daughter, Catherine, shows our two canine athletes, Penny and Erik, in American Kennel Club Agility Trials.  These ribbons are from two of those recent weekends.

The ribbons above were from a weekend at Derby City Club in Louisville.  The ribbons below are from an AKC dog club in Hamilton, Ohio.  The ribbons below are from a large show, with more than 50 dogs in Penny's class.  Penny had a perfect weekend of qualifying 7 out of 7 runs.  "Qualifying" means the runs count toward titles.
When the dogs first started competing several years ago, we began displaying the their ribbons on the baby grand piano in the living room.  Now there are so many they are carefully cataloged in file cabinets.  To display them, we will have to build a new room onto the house!
I got the images together for this post and before I could post it, Catherine took the dogs to another weekend of shows.  This show was sponsored by Canine Performance Events (CPE).  The ribbons above are Erik's and the ribbons below are Penny's all from the same weekend events.  Erik is just getting into all of this and totally delivered the WOW this weekend with that first place ribbon.
Congratulations to our daughter Catherine who is the trainer and handler and for Penny and Erik.  We are so proud of all of them!

:)),
Lois

It must be so much fun to be at one with a dog and know that you can work together with them. I guess I'll never know.
