Antique Figure Head

Good morning,

The lovely antique figure head above graces the walls of Freedom of the Seas on Deck 4.

The artwork on board Freedom of the Seas is truly incredible.  During a one week cruise it is easy to get involved in the many activities offered and ports to visit, but taking the time to explore the art work found all over the ship is truly worthwhile.
Enjoy!

Lois

I think if I were on a cruise on a ship that size, I wouldn't have time to go ashore!

it's so fascinating to see the history associated with any experience we have.

Ummmmm, do you mean figurehead instead? Maidenhead means a whole different thing. Trust me.

None the less, it's absolutely fabulous. I would love to have that in our dining room where I have a lot of shells and seaworthy items.

I think it is cool that the ship has invested in art work. They didn't really have to.

I've seen a few antique figure heads in Maritime museums in California, and if I could afford them, I would be a collector.
Your Lady is beautiful!

Beautiful! The figureheads off of the old ships were truly works of art. Nice to see them giving this one the attention it deserves.
